My Top Quarantine Purchases
Over the last four months I’ve done my fair share on online shopping so I thought I’d share my best purchases with you. Here are some of my favorites and later this week I’ll share my best kid-related purchases.
Olive & June nail polish kit: I’ve never been a huge manicure person, mostly because of time limitations, but I do love having nice nails so I finally bought a set of bright summery colors from cult favorite Olive & June. The colors are perfect for summer and something about the nail brushes make it really easy to give myself a great manicure.
Farmacy Farmers Market test kit: I wrote about this Farmacy set last month and my love for the products is still just as strong! I finished the entire vitamin C serum and have used the honey mask 1-2 times a week and plan on rebuying both.
The Glass Castle: I was a huge fan of the authors first book “Station 11” and this one was even better! I couldn’t stop thinking about the book for weeks after reading and would definitely rank it as my number one book of the year.
Fresh Exchange Beginner Gardner Book: I’ve loved The Fresh Exchange blog for many years, partially because it’s full of great information and resources and also because Megan is based in Northern Michigan which is my favorite location. She talks about gardening, environmental issues, sustainable fashion and more. She wrote an ebook on gardening which I purchased and was super helpful as I started planning my new veggie container garden.
Jiggy Puzzle: I actually bought this puzzle for my parents as a Christmas gift but they left it at my house since it was too large for their suitcase. I figured the first few weeks of quarantine were the perfect time to dig this out and dive in. It took us several solid days to get through it and it was a nice change of pace from our standard nightly TV watching and news binging.
KJP Vermont sweatshirt: the perfect slouchy and soft sweatshirt. Knowing I won’t be able to travel to some of my favorite East Coast destinations this year made me feel especially nostalgic so when I found this it was an immediate must-have purchase.
Andie Tulum Bathing Suit: You know its been a long quarantine when two of your favorite purchases are for different seasons. I’ve been a huge fan of Andie since I bought my first suit last year and I was very excited to add a new pattern (in the newly released long torso length) to my collection this year.
The Living Seed Company Seeds: Yep, I was one of those people that did a super deep dive into gardening in the beginning of quarantine. I ordered several packets of seeds and am loving seeing many of them growing now!
Overdrive App: This is my serious MVP of quarantine. This is the app that links to the Los Angeles Public Library system and allows you to download ebooks. You can check out up to 30 books at a time, so that allows me to have at least five novels ready to go on my digital bookshelf at any time.
Happy shopping!
