My Top Kid-Related Quarantine Purchases
Over the last four months, I’ve done my fair share on online shopping so I thought I’d share my best kid-related purchases with you. Here are some of my favorites and in case you’re curious, you can find my best non-kid quarantine purchases here.
Cardboard Fairy Tale Castle - This giant hunk of cardboard was the best purchase of quarantine! In fact, it’s still in the corner of our living room and every single day some new stickers or colors get added to it. I’ve started testing the waters to see if we can move it into the yard… so stay tuned!
Tracing Practice Books - We ordered this one and this one and I was surprised by how much my daughter loved them!
Busy Toddler Playing Preschool Book - In the beginning of quarantine I was totally overwhelmed thinking about all the activities we’d need to do to fill the day and that was right around the time I found this book. I’ve always been a huge fan of The Busy Toddler account so as soon as I saw she had a book with scheduled activities and lessons plans, I bought it! I didn’t follow it super closely but it was a great resource to keep my daughter (and me) busy and I will definitely pick it back up again.
Bacon Bit Letter Kit - I had seen these on Instagram and really wanted to get a set but they are in high demand. Luckily, I was able to snag a set of the most beautiful pink sparkly resin letters that my daughter is obsessed with. We use them to spell her name, as tools for play dough and even as bath toys.
Dinosaur Egg Dino Kit - Another surprise hit! Over the last few months my daughter has become increasingly obsessed with dinosaurs so when I stumbled upon these during a late night Amazon browsing session I had to get them. We do two or three at a time, forget about them for a few weeks and then pull out again.
Primary Short Sleeve Pajama Set - Since we’ve changed seasons over the course of the last few months, it was time for some short sleeved jammies. If you don’t already know Primary they are a great company for reasonably priced basics (the short sleeve set is $24 and they have sales all the time).
The Magical Yet - We acquired a lot of books over the last few months, but this one is a recent favorite. All about “the yet” that helps you accomplish your dreams, it feels like a modern version of All The Places You Go. Here’s another post on recent favorite books featuring diverse characters and another of our favorite books about nature. And if you have friends close by, try a quarantine book swap and save your self some money!
Olli Ella Basket - I bought this as an Easter present thinking it would be a great bag to carry while collecting rocks, sticks and all the random stuff kids find and then i discovered it was velcro straps the fit perfectly on a scooter! So now it’s become our scooter basket and is always full of “interesting” treasures.
Target Dollhouse - This dollhouse has occupied my daughter for hours (and hours and hours…) during quarantine. This one is cute, was shipped quickly and most importantly the price was great. There is one downside, some assembly is required (lol - make that tons!).
Happy shopping!
