My Favorite Recent Purchases
I haven’t shared my monthly purchases in a while so I thought today I would! Here are a few of my favorite recent purchases for myself and my daughter.
In Good Taste Wine - I bought two of their wine flights and sent one to my parents as a gift and kept the other. Then we did a fun virtual wine tasting over zoom and had a great time. The flights come with a little info booklet that’s both entertaining and informative.
Forsake Patch Hiking Boots - After a half dozen camping trips and countless hikes over the last few months I decided it was finally time to buy some proper boots. After a lot of research I settled on these boots from Forsake and I’m a huge fan. They didn’t require any breaking in, are extremely comfortable and very cute.
Lunchbot Lunch Box and Carrier - My daughter had been back in school for a few months and I was putting her lunch in various Tupperware containers and after a while realized I needed a proper lunchbox (that’s actually insulated). There are a ton of options out there with wildly different price points but this is one I settled on and it’s working well. I also bought a bunch of iron on patches to spruce up the carrying case a bit.
Farmacy Clean Bee Honey Face Wash - Buy this face wash if you want to smell like honey everyday! I’ve loved this brand for many years and this is the first time I tried the honey face wash and I love it so much I’ll definitely be repurchasing.
AYR Deep End Shirt - I really wanted a slightly professional looking, loose fitting shirt that can take me from meetings to weekends and after seeing this one on Instagram from months (years?) I finally pulled the trigger during their last sale. I’ve had it for a week and already worn three times so clearly I’m loving it.
Left on Friday Bathing Suit - As an almost 6ft person buying swimsuits is not always easy since I tend to prefer one pieces. I decided to dip my foot back into the two piece world this season and love the simplicity of the design, the mix and match colors and the amazing construction. They also have an amazing website where you can look at user submitted photos of people by size, height, chest size, etc to get a better idea of what the suits will look like on your body.
Alice & Wonder Toddler Sweatsuit - I have several of their Chicago themed items (my husband is from there) and found this adorable sweatsuit when I was cruising their site. It’s literally the cutest sweatsuit in the world and I’m considering a second color for my daughter.
Finlay Donovan is Killing It - I checked this book out from the library recently and it was such a pleasant surprise! I don’t usually gravitate towards quirky dramadies but this was a seriously enjoyable read. The book tells the story of Finlay Donovan, a recent divorcee and crime writer who is accidentally mistaken and hired as a hitman. And then of course everything that can go wrong does go wrong. I ended up loving this book so much I can’t wait for the sequel to come out next year.
When the Stars Go Dark - If you’re looking for a much darker novel, this is the one you should buy. Anna is a cop recovering from a major trauma who retreats to her childhood town in Northern Califronia only to find herself in the middle of a missing persons case. I couldn’t put this one down and have been thinking about it ever since.
Happy shopping!
