Stroller Reviews From Real Parents

Nuna Mixx: I was actually given the Nuna Mixx stroller with the bassinet/pipa baby car seat (needed an attachment) and toddler seat all that clicked in super easy to the wheel base! It was a big stroller but amazing to use, open and close effortlessly to put into the trunk of the car! And the storage basket was so deep and strong I used to be able to put all my shopping and lots of extras in it! It was like my mobile wagon in every way!!

I later bought the Zoe Toddler Stroller (second hand) to use for travel and this was fantastic and so incredibly lightweight! My daughter, Tuana, could sleep in it comfortably with great shade extensions. The best features were: the drink and snack holder for her and the included coffee holder for us! - Melissa G.

Uppababy Vista: We loved the Uppababy Vista because of its durability- definitely a smooth ride for baby! We also wanted something with good storage as we were going to be out and about without a car a lot with our baby / toddler. The Vista has a really big and easily accessible basket, so if that’s one of your requirements, it really ticks the box. Finally we travelled a lot with our baby (including international travel) before she turned 5 months, and the Vista bassinet offered us a brilliant on the go sleeping solution without having to being any additional travel cribs. The one downside is that it’s slightly heavier than some strollers, but the pay off is the durability you get in return! - Sarah B.

Colugo Compact: When my daughter turned 1, we were in need of a lighter stroller than the big Nuna we had been lugging around. At the time we were living on the second floor of an 8-plex in LA. When my wife and I found this very cute but more importantly light stroller that was able to fold in one hand - we fell in love. We also liked that you could remove the padding and throw it all in the wash. We both got a lot of compliments when when we would push her around in it. My daughter is now 2.5 years old and she still uses it for longer walks. - Alex O.

Joovy Double Caboose: Our daughters are 2.5 and 3 months old. Our 2.5 year old barely uses a stroller anymore so when we found out that we had another baby on the way, we grabbed a cheap stroller that could seat a car seat and have a built-in standing board/seat. I also didn’t want a wide two-seater so our options were limited in the sub $300 price range. The Joovy works really well for this reason. Maneuvering isn’t the smoothest but at the low price point its worth it. Also, the basket is huge. My older daughter love being able to sit on a bench or stand up during the ride. The car seat is a universal strap so you’d not have to worry much about whether yours will “convert”.

Cybex Priam: We absolutely loved this stroller! Cybex is a lesser known European brand that really thought of everything. It is car seat compatible, the seat can face forwards or backwards and reclines the entire way (making it possible to use for a young baby in the seat at a very young age). The extendable canopy is huge, has a ventilation window and can almost completely cover/protect your baby from the sun. The basket is also giant making it perfect for grocery store runs. The handle bar is adjustable and works well for parents over 6ft tall. The stroller comes with a rain cover and you can get ski attachments for the wheels which sounds so cool but is definitely not needed in Los Angeles. The only downside to the stroller is that its size (like the Nuna and the UppaBaby) makes it a bit on the heavy side so probably not the best option for people walking up many flights of stairs or getting in and out of the car multiple times a day. - Chris

Mountain Buggy Nano: This is the perfect travel stroller and works well as a second stroller that sits in the car and is used for days at the zoo, the mall, up and down stairs, etc. It’s light, the seat is deep so kids can actually extend their legs the whole way and it folds all the way up and can be carried by the shoulder strap. Overall excellent option for anyone on the go that isn’t looking for a super durable, hike-ready stroller. -Callie
