While searching online for some new and fun ways to stay busy this summer, I came across a Cactus Ring Toss game from Target that was unfortunately sold out. I realized that making a cute and simple homemade version was just the project I was looking for. I purchased some inexpensive rings, cut and decorated my cardboard cactus, and gave the family a fun afternoon of Cactus Ring Toss! Here’s a fun side note: While searching for the name of the technique I used to attach my cardboard, I stumbled upon this glorious website called Mona Lisa Lives Here. Alice Gentili teaches visual art and collects Mona Lisas that she finds at flea markets. Ms. Gentili's website taught me that the attachment technique is called a slot and insert.
