The Silliest Books for Kids

Ready for another book roundup? Today we’re talking about our favorite silly and fun kids books that keep us and our kids laughing!

I Want My Hat Back (or anything from Jon Klassen) - The bears hat is gone and he wants it back! Follow his adventures trying to get it back. And really anything from Jon Klassen falls into the silly and fun category.

Mr. Wuffles - Mr. Wuffles the cat doesn’t care about any of his toys, but he does care about the little space aliens in his house. There are very few words in this book but your kids will be laughing out loud at all the gibberish languages. Seriously when my husband does all the voices and reads this to my daughter I can’t help but double over laughing.

High Five - Perfect your high five skills in this book which chronicles all the competitors in a high five contest.

Nerp! - We recently got this one from the library and my daughter loved that it’s basically a series of silly words.

Du Iz Tak? - This book, written in an invented language, tells the story of a tiny sprout that starts to grow and the creatures that inhabit it. I laugh out loud at how inventive and silly this book is every time we read it and I highly recommend!

The Monster at the End of The Book - Don’t turn the page, there’s a monster at the end! Elmo tried everything he can to get you to stop turning the pages. There’s also a sequel that’s equally as fun.
