The Three Best Books to Give to Expecting Friends
The only thing I love more than giving friends gifts is giving my friends books when they announce they’re expecting! I received a few books right after announcing my pregnancy and it made me so excited to start my daughter’s library and fill it with meaningful books. And since pregnancy is an especially emotional period, when you’re spending most of your time talking and thinking about your future baby, it’s nice to give books that match those sentiments.
Mousie I Will Read to You - My Mom gave me this book and I tear up (in the best way possible) every single time I read it. This book tells the story of a baby mouse that is read to by his parent, then gets older and learns to read and finally reads to his own baby when they’re grown up. It’s an especially great gift for parents who are big readers!
The Wonderful Things You Will Be - This was the very fist book given to me after announcing my pregnancy. This book is full of all the wishes parents have for their children and the illustrations are beautiful.
Here We Are: Notes For Living on Planet Earth - I can’t speak highly enough of this amazing book!! The author wrote this book for his son as a guide to living on earth. It’s full of wisdom and tips for thriving on this planet. We’ve read this book religiously over the last few years and I’ve given it to at least five friends.
And remember to make your gift especially special by writing a special message inside!
