A Few of My Favorite Things from 2019
Rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens... these are a few of my favorite things!
Well those don't actually make my 2019 favorite things list, but the 10 items below sure did! I've read a few lists from bloggers I follow of their favorite things from the year and thought I would add one more to the mix! Here is my very random list of favorite things (mostly purchases) from the year:
1. Stasher Bags - I use them for everything, they come in super cute colors and I feel good eliminating some of my plastic use.
2. Love for Pilates and the Melissa Wood Health App - This year I committed to working out (fairly) regularly and these are my two favorite workouts. Love for Pilates is a super chic studio in mid-city with very tough (but wonderful!) instructors and the Melissa Wood Health App is a great workout at home option and I love that many of the workouts are under 20 minutes if you're strapped for time.
3. Dyson Air Purifier - These are a huge investment, but we use them daily and if money grew on trees I would want more of them. Living in LA where the air quality is terrible (and I'm prone to allergies) and in an old house where the heating and cooling system is not the greatest, these are true lifesavers. I love monitoring the air quality on my phone and being able to keep the central heat and AC off at night and use these machines in the bedrooms instead.
4. Soda Stream Machine - I am a sparkly water addict so this was pretty much the perfect gift.
5. LA Public Library - You know I'm a huge fan of LAPL, but this year I started to utilize their online system. I go through and put dozens of books on my wish list and then pick them up and read them as they arrive.
6. Summer Fridays CC Cream - I developed melasma (dark spots) when I was pregnant and this is the first cream that has really helped them fade (can I get a hallelujah!?). I'm also a huge fan of all of their face masks.
7. AMC Stubs A-List Membership - Being self-employed definitely has it's perks, one of which is sneaking away for middle of the day movies. We've saved so much money using this service and have been able to keep up (a little better) with our moviegoing despite the toddler-sized elephant in the room (aka our toddler).
8. PicMonkey - Christianne and I use PicMonkey for most of our business graphics needs. It's an amazing program that is super easy to use and I highly recommend it to all business owners!
9. Aura Picture Frame - I'm going to be honest, I used to think digital picture frames were the cheesiest but now I'm in love. This one is super simple, doesn't look like an iPad and is easy to update. I love watching it scroll through family photos as I get ready for bed.
10. Brightland Olive Oil - Not only is the product top notch, but the bottles are so beautiful that I get happy every single time I see them on my shelves.
