My Favorite Kid Products of 2019
I loved writing out my favorite things from the year, so here is my (somewhat belated) list of top kid products of 2019. All of these items either made my life easier, cuter or more fun.
1. Rowdy Sprout clothing - By far my favorite kids brand! We have several shirts and two pairs of jammies. They are super soft and the rock music-inspired patterns are hip without being too try-hardy.
2. The Hatch - Everyone knows about the hatch for a reason... because it's amazing. We use it only for the wake/sleep light function, but it also has a sound machine and can be controlled by your phone. We started using this when my daughter was waking up early and this helped her understand when it's ok to be up and out of bed and when she just has to hang around in bed for a while. Not only is it functional but it is waaaay cuter than any other okay to wake clock I've seen.
3. Book reading nook - Near the end of the year we finally set up an official book reading nook in our reading-obsessed daughter's room. She was instantly spellbound by her magical little spot complete with comfy cushions and twinkly lights. You never know exactly what you're going to get when you order these types of products on Amazon (i.e the true color and quality) so we ordered three different brands and kept this one.
4. E.T and Buffy the Vampire Slayer Pop Classics books - I have mentioned both of these books countless times and probably will until the end of time. They are hands down the best illustrated, most fun to read kids books around.
5. Micro Kickboard Scooter & Nutcase Helmet - Micro Kickboard scooters are amazing and every toddler seems to have one. They feel sturdy and easy to maneuver, come in cute colors and most importantly are easy for parents to haul after their kids ask them to carry them after one block. Pair your scooter with the cutest helmets around from Nutcase. In addition to being cute this brand was one of the few I found that actually made helmets that are small enough for two year-olds.
6. Melissa & Doug Wood Blocks - These are the most used toys in our house and will probably continue to be for quite some time. Also love that they come with a box to store them in and they are so neutral that they can go anywhere and not stick out like most kid toys.
7. Native Kensington Boots - I would legit do anything to own these shoes in my size and I put my daughter in them every single opportunity I get. They are light, comfy, cute and water resistant.
8. Disney Plus - We waited two years to start integrating screen time and now that we have we are all about weekend movie mornings! Disney Plus is by far the easiest and most convenient way to do that.
