Sep 24 Moms on the Move - Val Fishbain of Spread The Love

We are so happy to have Val Fishbain on 'Moms on the Move' today! We are extremely excited to be partnering with her for our October 19th launch party and we're excited to introduce her to you all. Without further ado, here's Val!

First, tell us your story! We’d love to hear little bit about yourself and your business.

I’m Val Fishbain, Co-Founder and President of Spread The Love®. I am passionate about clean eating and overall wellness. I felt inspired by a Hawaii trip in 2011 where all I ate was amazing real organic foods and ever since it has been a focus of mine to deconstruct everyday foods that have been overly processed and to recreate them in my home kitchen in LA.

Back in 2013, I created peanut butter with my Vitamix blender for Zach, my fiancé (now husband and business partner) out of love. We ended up making more jars of this peanut butter and gave them away as wedding favors to our beloved guests. Creating healthier alternatives to some of our favorite foods continues to be my passion and central to my mission to spread the love.

How many kids do you have, what ages?

2 daughters, ages (almost) 4 and 5

What are your top three recommendations for things to do with kids in LA ?

Umami Burger for a family- friendly restaurant and taking public transportation (bus and train) to Korea Town Shopping Centers and Downtown Grand Park for a good adventure.

How do you network as a parent and a business person?

I use every opportunity to network, whether I’m in our co- working space or at the playground. I love to talk to people about anything. I like to go to a lot of Entrepinayship events.

Where do you go for inspiration on the web and in real life?

Any place that is surrounded by nature (trees, ocean, mountains).

What is the first website you visit every morning?

Planoly to check if our scheduled Instagram post went on and Shopify.

What is on your to do list for today?

Get everything set up before Japan vacation, Send designer assets for new product, Final check - social media posts for the month of October.
