Describe motherhood in one sentence.

Most challenging thing I’ve done In my life.

Tell us your story! We’d love to hear little bit about yourself and your business.

Originally from Spain, I’ve lived in many countries and cities around the globe. Besides traveling and meeting new people and cultures, my passion is to create new concepts and bringing them to life. I’m a mom, wife, friend and a serial entrepreneur. As far as my business, Big and Tiny was born in 2018 out of my own need as a mother and entrepreneur to balance my professional and family life. As you might already know, 43% of women leave their jobs when they have a child. To me, the desire of being part of my daughters' first years made me reconsider devoting my time to my work and my career, which didn't feel right since I love what I do. This frustration inspired me to came up with a new concept of flexible and participatory childcare + education model that allows parents to focus on their careers or passions while being close to their kids. My goal was to build a mindfully designed space for like minded parents and their kids and to create a supportive and inspiring community.

How many kids do you have, what ages?

Two. Guiliana, 5 and Valeria 2.

What are your top three recommendations for things to do with kids in LA?

Besides Big and Tiny? :) I like to take my girls to the beach, they love the sand but also the playground next to it on Santa Monica. We love having brunch at Malibu Cafe. Superba Cafe is one of my favorite breakfast spots in LA and don’t get me started on Jenni’s Ice cream! We couldn’t live without the Griffin Club.

How do you network as a parent and a business person?

My work and family life doesn’t let me time to network but luckily I have a great community at Big and Tiny so I love talking to our members and getting to know them better. I’m part of Fashion Mamas and Hey Mama - I try to make their event as much as I can.

Where do you go for inspiration on the web and in real life?

I like to travel for inspiration. There are amazing places and hotels close by that I love discovering. My next destination is Bruma, in Valle de Guadalupe. Its a stunning winery, boutique hotel and restaurant in Mexico. I’m also planning a new trip to Yosemite in an outdoor airstream retreat I’m obsessed with. As far as the web, I follow a lot of design and lifestyle brands on social media that I like.

What is the first website you visit every morning?

My email followed by Instagram.

What is on your to do list for today?(EDITORS NOTE - this interview was done in early March prior to the “safer at home” order)

Respond a million emails, confirm a few partnership/inquiries, interview a few people, go to the gym, my daily almond latte and ice cream with my daughters and friends on Manhattan Beach.

And finally, where can we find you?
