Four Self-Care tips for the Fourth Trimester By Elaine Dizon
For many parents, the first 6-8 weeks is focused on transitioning to a new baby, new schedule, functioning on minimal sleep, and figuring out the grind. When we don’t pause and take stock of what we need to refresh, recharge, and move towards sustainable practices, we are at risk of frustration and follow through becomes risky. After a couple of months, take time and think, “What will help me be ME again? Have I changed? What will warm my heart right now?”
Taking a few moments for yourself is an essential component to that reset and refresh action. Asking for support may be challenging, but the effort is an investment. Here are my Four Tips to Self-Care during the Fourth Trimester.
