Samantha is the incredible mom behind the hysterical & super relatable blog, @mommy.realist. I loved chatting with her and thought our conversation was equal parts light and hard-hitting.
I especially appreciated her speaking so openly about the animosity she felt towards her husband in those first few weeks after bringing their son home. I definitely experienced the same feelings of resentment toward how my husband could “escape” too and it’s comforting to know that I’m not alone. My husband (pre-Covid) travels for work and as much as I hate to admit this, I remember being envious that he would get to have a full night’s sleep at a hotel while I was waking up multiple times at home with Winnie.
On today’s episode, Samantha shares about her positive birth experience, challenges with breastfeeding, success with sleep training, and how she and her husband navigated changes in their relationship after becoming a family of 3.
