Highchair LA Reviews: Guelaguetza
KOREATOWN
Guelaguetza
3014 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90006
Guelaguetza checks off many “foodie” boxes: family-owned, legacy-run (opened in 1994), James Beard award-winning and a favorite of the late Jonathan Gold. World-renowned for their famous array of mole sauces, this spot could make any parent of a toddler a bit ap*image sourceprehensive, but I can assure you, this is actually a fantastic spot.
Kids Menu: Hallelujah, we have a designated kids menu and bonus points for the hostess, who automatically brought crayons and a coloring pad! Ok so maybe my little one thought they were edible and I had to take them away but I did appreciate the thought!
I ordered the Memalitas, two small, thick, corn tortillas topped with black beans, cheese and I added a little of my mild mole sauce, which my piglet ate up. The sides on the menu list a small veggie broth soup and fries but the server offered fresh fruit instead (I’m sure I looked a little concerned over fries haha) but honestly, do kids even want whats good for them after all that tasty mole? I ended up boxing up the fruit for her to snack on later.
Price: $8.50
Vibes: I came in during the lunch and it was packed with families. It’s a very family-friendly vibe here, staff is approachable and nice.
Highchairs: They had plenty of highchairs and booster seats. All clean and totally prepared.
Changing Table: There is a changing table in the women’s restroom.
Stroller Access: There is room for a stroller here, if you need to keep kiddo in it.
Parking: There’s valet parking for the busier hours, but during the lunch hour, it was easy for me to find street parking.
Bonus: Instead of chips and salsa, all entrees come with their super-famous mole chips. It’s good to introduce spices to kiddos to help them become less picky eaters, so I say, let them go nuts.
Rating: 5/5 Spoons🥄 - for parents who indulge in James Beard winners, this is the perfect spot for you.
