An Interview With Pelvic Health Specialist, Allison Oswald
Today on The Mag we have Pelvic Health Specialist (and mama of three!), Allison Oswald. Learn more about Allison and her practice, why pelvic exercise is important, her favorite small businesses and more!
Introduce yourself, your practice, and your family.
Hi, I'm Allison Oswald...I'm a mama of three boys, a wife of an artist and a Pelvic Health Specialist. I live in Los Angeles with my family, and with all boys, get my feminine energy fix with my clients and work. My passion is to educate and empower women to feel their best across their lifespan. I am currently seeing patients virtually and at home, as well as continuing to build my online video content.
What does it mean to have a practice that goes from preconception through menopause?
It means that pelvic health is important and affects women across the lifespan. Pelvic health evolves as a woman evolves, there is not a one size fits all or a one time for all. I meet women where they are, sometimes that is during pregnancy, for others at menopause, etc...
Why is pelvic exercise important? Does everyone have to do it?
Having a connection to your pelvic floor is important, and yes, I believe all women should know where their pelvic floor is and what it does. And some may consider that exercise, but I think of it more, as being connected to one's inner core. Learning how to engage it if needed, or how to relax it is really key. What somebody needs as far as exercise is very individual.
Name up to three other small businesses in the parenting space that you love. @totumwomen, @loomhq, @ebi.kit
In one sentence, can you describe what it means to be a mother?
Holding love in your heart for another person like you never thought possible.
And finally, where can we find you?
