Introduce yourselves, your family and your business.
I'm Amy and my wife's name is Jenylle. We have 2 awesome kids, 8 year old Jaxon and 6 year old Brooklyn. I am the co-founder of a boutique fitness company called SPENGA. SPENGA specializes in combining spin/stregnth/yoga all in a one hour workout. We currently have 273 locations sold Nationwide and continue to grow! Our unique studio fills a gap in the fitness market and delivers cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility training in every session. Jenylle works in sales.
If you have ever experienced ignorant or hateful comments/moments, how do you respond?
For the most part, when people meet us, they say "I get it!" Our connection and bond we have is I think one of our greatest strengths and our happiness shines. We more so get very rude questions, that make us 'insert eye roll here' like: Do you want separate checks? Q: Who's the man? A: Get a new question. Q: What do you guys call yourselves, partners or significant others? A: ummm we're wife'd up. Q: Maybe you never had a real man? A: Next.

What is your kids experience like having two moms? Do kids from hetero nuclear families ever have questions for them about their family set up and how have your guided your children to respond?
Our kids know no different. They are so proud to say I have 2 moms and to be honest todays society is usually very accepting. Often times their friends will say "that's no fair, I want two moms!" The kids school will send home 2 Mother's Day gifts around Mother's Day. They totally think it's their super power to have 2 moms. Our daughter's friends are a little confused, but it's funny. One friend the other day said, “which one is the mom and which one is the mother in law?!”
