2019 Holiday Gift Guide - The Best Eco-Friendly Gifts

2019 Holiday Gift Guide - The Best Eco-Friendly Gifts

Being more eco-friendly is something we think about a lot over at MiLOWE. From small swaps at home that make big impacts (like using Stasher bags instead of plastic bags) to using our leftover fabric to make loveys and hats, being eco-friendly is becoming increasingly important and popular. Sometimes the move to a more eco-conscious lifestyle requires a bit of an investment in the beginning and we think these gifts are an awesome place to start!

1. Food52 Silicone Straws - I love these so much that I've already bought two sets as gifts. I just can't get on board with paper straws because I'm a slow drinker (and a straw chewer) so I always end up with either a bent, unusable straw or accidentally ingesting a bunch of cardboard. These silicone straws are the perfect option since they are plenty cute and come with a nice carrying case and special "cleaning squeegee."

2. Porter Ceramic Mug - To-go mugs are always a great gift and this one from Porter would be perfect to add to someone's collection. The fact that it's ceramic makes it a bit different and the color options are fantastic.

3. Baggu Go Pouch Set - I'm a huge fan of pouches and Baggu has the cutest patterns/colors. I have several sets that I use in both my purse and diaper bag. Make sure to check out Amazon and Baggu websites because they often have different selections.

4. Stasher Bags Bundle - We are HUGE fans of these bags. They are super cute, functional (so easy to clean!) and are a super easy swap to make to be more eco friendly. I use them mostly for kids snacks and storing food in the fridge but they would also be great all purpose pouches to throw into your bag. If you're more of an Amazon Prime person, you can get single, clear versions here.

5. Allbirds Sneakers - I'm sure you are all familiar with this company, but if you're not, all you need to know if they are the world's most comfortable shoes. They are also made out of wool, super chic and easy to style and produced by a company with a real commitment to sustainability. So just buy them. (I have bought a pair for every member of my family - no joke).

6. Food52 Dryer Balls - These are some seriously chic dryer balls. If you are not familiar with the concept of dryer balls, Food52 describes them as "laundry’s miracle workers." They help clothes dry faster and are far superior to more traditional (and boring) dryer sheets. I have the plain white versions they sell on Amazon because they were cheaper, but I would have loved to splurge on these. Pair them with an essential oil (add a few drops to the dryer balls and your clothes will smell amazing) and you have a perfect little gift set.

7. Everlane ReNew Sweatshirt - This sweatshirt is super cute, affordable and the color is on-trend awesome. Plus it's made out of recycled water bottles which is pretty dang cool if you ask us! They have several different styles (for men and women) in the ReNew line so if this one doesn't speak to you, maybe another one will.

8. Byta Mug - This is another spectacular option for a to-go cup gift. This is one of my personal faves because you can customize it and I have indeed done exactly that for multiple people!

Happy shopping!
