Affordable Glowy/Illuminating Beauty Products Under $15

I have to confess something… every time I go to the drugstore I end up walking out with some beauty product (that I absolutely don’t need). Recently we’ve been opening up our circle and I’ve been wearing a little more makeup. A lil’ zhuzh don’t hurt nobody.

I’ve been particularly interested in finding affordable beauty products that offer me that instagram/influencer/real-life-filter kind of glow… so I decided to test some products out that might be fun to add to your own beauty kits — each product is under $15.

  • L’Oreal True Match Lumi - $11.24: This is very subtle but oh so lovely. Can be used on it’s own as a tint or added to your favorite foundation. You can also buy a shade deeper than your usual and wear it like a bronzer. It is not sparkly or over the top.

  • First Fly Liquid Body Illuminator - $9.99: This is like a day-rave in a bottle. Tons of sparkle and a slight bronzing effect. I like this for specific occasions and it smells pretty good.

  • Sally Hansen Legs Illuminator - $12.00: This is a really beautiful glow that can be used every day to highlight your legs, clavicle, chest, shoulders etc. Not sparkly.

  • Sally Hansen Legs Tanning Water - $13.99: I didn’t expect to like this as much as I do but it really works. I think it especially works for me because I have a good base tan to build up on. Not just for legs! I’ve used it on my body (not face) and arms. It develops fast, no streaks (just follow the instructions). It’s buildable to achieve a darker tone. Make sure to wash your hands after!

  • NYX Illuminating Stick - $14.99: I’ve been using this for a while as my upper cheek highlight and it works really well and is glowy, not sparkly!

  • E.L.F. Illuminating Primer - $6.99: This is my new favorite primer. It illuminates the face so well that I’ve used it on its own after applying sunscreen. Great glow! It does have a tiny bit of sparkle to it, but if you’re putting your regular foundation or tint on top, you won’t notice it!
